Surgical Vaginal Tightening in Riyadh

A precise surgical solution for advanced cases, in expert hands.

Procedure length: 60–90 minutesAnaesthesia: Deep local or regionalDowntime: 7–14 daysResults: Usually permanent

Surgical tightening is the right choice when laxity is advanced and non-surgical techniques are no longer enough. The idea is not superficial "tightening" but rebuilding the muscle and supporting tissue of the posterior vaginal wall so it regains real strength.

We do not recommend surgery to everyone who asks for it. In many cases laxity is mild to moderate, and smart threads or collagen stimulation are a better, far less invasive fit — and we tell you that plainly at your appointment.

When is surgery the right option?

  • Advanced laxity after several vaginal deliveries, especially with large babies.
  • Clear pelvic floor weakness that has not responded to Kegels or devices.
  • A sensation of widening that meaningfully affects intimacy.
  • A posterior wall bulge (rectocele) needing repair in the same session.
  • Dissatisfaction with the result of previous non-surgical procedures.

What happens during surgery

After anaesthesia, a precisely measured strip of excess mucosa is removed, the levator muscles are approximated and sutured layer by layer to rebuild the muscular support. Absorbable sutures are used — nothing needs removing — and the perineum is closed with a fine cosmetic repair.

Measurement is everything here. Over-tightening causes lasting pain; under-tightening gives no result. Long experience is exactly what decides that margin.

Recovery, week by week

  • First 48 hours: relative rest, cold compresses, simple analgesia.
  • Week one: mild swelling and discomfort; light walking is fine, sit on a soft cushion.
  • Week two: back to most daily activities and desk work.
  • 4–6 weeks: exercise resumes, then intimacy once the doctor confirms.

Results and how long they last

The result is visible once healing completes and settles over six to eight weeks; it is considered permanent in most cases. The one factor that can change it is a new vaginal delivery, which is why we discuss your family plans before scheduling.

Not sure this is the right procedure for you?

That is exactly what the assessment appointment settles. Forty-five minutes, conversation before examination, and two or three genuine options with their real differences — with no obligation.

FAQs about Surgical Vaginal Tightening

You feel no pain during surgery thanks to the anaesthesia. Afterwards there is swelling and discomfort controlled with simple painkillers; most patients describe it as easier than expected.

Three to five days is enough for most women in desk-based work, around two weeks for physically demanding jobs.

Surgery treats advanced laxity with a permanent result but needs recovery. Smart threads are a gentle, almost downtime-free option suited to mild and moderate laxity, with results that need refreshing.

If incontinence is caused by weak support, it can be addressed in the same session with a bladder lift. We determine this after examination.

It depends on the degree of laxity and whether pelvic floor or bladder repair is included. We price it precisely after assessment, and Tabby/Tamara instalments are available.
